Lifestyle cards reward the spends that fill most weekends: restaurants, food delivery, movies, groceries and shopping. The best-value options today are category cashback cards such as HSBC Live+ (10% on dining, food delivery and groceries, up to ₹1,200 a month) and Swiggy HDFC (10% on Swiggy), plus dining-programme cards such as EazyDiner IndusInd, and movie cards such as RBL Play.
- Restaurant discounts through programmes like EazyDiner, Swiggy Dineout or Zomato are offers on top of the card, and often need booking through the app.
- Movie benefits usually need a minimum monthly spend — RBL Play gives 2 BookMyShow tickets (up to ₹250 each) only after ₹5,000 of spend that month.
- SBI Card PRIME and ELITE give 10 reward points per ₹100 on dining and groceries (about 2.5%) with monthly caps.

Frequently asked questions
Which credit card is best for food delivery?
HSBC Live+ (10% on dining, delivery and groceries, capped ₹1,200 a month) or Swiggy HDFC (10% on Swiggy, capped ₹1,500) if Swiggy is your main app. Axis ACE gives 4% on Zomato and Swiggy within a combined ₹500 monthly cap.
Do dining discounts apply at every restaurant?
No. They apply only at restaurants in the programme (EazyDiner, Dineout etc.) and usually need the table to be booked or the bill paid through the app.
Are lifestyle cards worth a ₹2,999 annual fee?
Only if you use the benefits regularly. EazyDiner IndusInd at ₹2,999 is worth it for someone dining out a few times a month; for occasional diners a ₹499–₹999 cashback card usually returns more.
Card features, fees and reward rates are compiled from issuers’ published terms and reputable card-review sites (source and date on each card page). Issuers change benefits often — confirm the latest MITC before applying.
